Dragons were likened to the devil and known as the greatest serpent of them all. Some medieval texts, including the York bestiary, describe dragons wrapping themselves around their prey to suffocate it, and do not mention any ability to breathe fire.	York Archaeology	Physical Object	SC1976-7_C9224	Medieval 01-Jul-24	Pottery | York Glazed Ware	53.957687 /-1.0803863
