- Description
- A single 2m x 2m trench was excavated with the intention of discovering the level of survival of archaeological deposits. The upper 0.50m of the deposits comprised post-medieval demolition material. However, below this medieval occupation deposits, structures and features appeared to be well preserved. There is evidence from edge-set tile features that elsewhere in the vicinity medieval activity may exist only 0.20m below modern ground level.
