- Description
- Trenches were excavated in two areas where a geophysical survey had shown anomolies to exist. Any archaeogical deposits were shown to have been removed during the excavation of a quarry during the construction of the York bypass in the 1970s. Topsoil had been imported to fill this quarry and the area had been returned to agricultural use.
