- Description
- Natural deposits were encountered at depths varying from 0.50 to 4m below ground level across the site. No deposits of archaeological significance were observed in any of the seventeen machine dug test pits. Since the 19th century a considerable amount of landscaping on the site appears to have taken place and the original land surface had been obscured to such an extent as to be unrecognisable.
