P0683 Brook House, Byland Abbey
Item
- Title
- P0683 Brook House, Byland Abbey
- Alternative Title
- 1999.925 YORYM Brook House, Byland Abbey
- Description
- Fragments of two separate stone wall foundations were observed for buildings pre-dating the existing Brook House. A layer of demolition debris may havel derived from the earlier of these buildings. Too little of the structures was visible to make a meaningful interpretation of their function but the proximity of Long Beck and a stone lined medieval drain may suggest that they were associated with milling.
