- Title
- P0701 Land to the rear of 90 Clifton
- Alternative Title
- 1999.947 YORYM Land to the rear of 90 Clifton
- Description
- The layer of clean silty clay plough soil immediately above the natural sub-soil suggests that the site has been used for horticultural purposes in the past. Documentary evidence suggests that the surrounding buildings were linked with agricultural land use in the 17th and 18th centuries and local tradition suggests market gardening in the 20th century. Above this material c. 0.50m of modern dumped material was recorded.
