- Description
- Seal matrix with faceted handle and looped terminal. A circular die with device of stag’s head caboshed with cross between the antlers, and legend ‘….METE DEUM’. Traces of mineralised textile cord survive on the handle. Metal seal matrices were used to make impressions in wax to validate documents.
