P5310 Jingleby Field
Item
- Title
- P5310 Jingleby Field
- Description
- In December 2009 YAT undertook an evaluation and recording project of Jingleby pasture field and surrounding boundary banks associated with the High Dalby Warren, which is sited on a promontory in Dalby Forest. Two evaluation trenches in the field exposed natural bedrock with no archaeological features. A section through an adjacent boundary bank revealed its turf built structure and an underlying feature which is tentatively suggested maybe a cross ridge boundary. A walkover survey confirmed the presence of a boundary bank enclosing much of the field and identified two square features in the boundary thought to be rabbit traps.
