- This report has examined the readily available archaeological and historical information for an area around Hillside Way, West Lutton, North Yorkshire. The archaeological evidence is very extensive with every period from the Mesolithic to the modern either probably or definitely being represented. Although the site lies below either modern landscaping or medieval ridge and furrow the available evidence would strongly suggest that earlier activity, probably prehistoric and possibly Romano-British, could be encountered across the site.
