Description
The earliest feature on site was a ditch filled with waterlain silts dating to the 2nd century. Burnt material containing quantities of charred grain was recovered and may indicate the remains of a warehouse destroyed by fire. General re-organisation of the area appeared to follow, with the establishment of a street of late 2nd century date, which was remetalled several times through to the 4th century.
