"Roman activity of the 2nd and 3rd century date, in the form of ditches, and evidence for a timber building was recorded only 0.70m beneath the modern garage forecourt.

Medieval features recorded included stake-hole, pits and drains but no structural remains were encountered.

A 19th century housing development had truncated post-medieval deposits."
